It is better to defrost the herring not completely. Cut it, clean it, wash it. Cut the fish into pieces. Wash the vegetables, clean the carrots from the skin, cut into circles. Remove the husk from the onion, cut it into rings. Take a suitable glass container. Fold the onions to its bottom, then put the carrots, mustard on top, pepper. Lay out the pieces of herring. Sprinkle sugar and salt over it. Now fill the contents of the jar with vegetable oil, cover tightly and shake well. Remove the can of herring for at least a couple of hours in the fridge, after which it can be served. I usually clean for the night. Enjoy your meal!

Herring - 600 g, Onions - 160 g, Carrots - 80 g, Vegetable oil - 150 ml, Grainy mustard - 2 tea liters, Peppers - to taste, Salt - 2 tea liters, Sugar - 0.5 tea liters.
