How to make tomatoes with garlic and pepper? Prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list.
Wash the tomatoes, dry and cut into large wedges. Choose tomatoes that are juicy but dense. Soft fruits do not hold their shape well, in the process of cutting and cooking they will spread into a shapeless mass and spoil the appearance of the dish.
Wash the sweet pepper, remove the seeds, cut the flesh into cubes. Peppers can be used Bulgarian or seasonal.
Also peel the chilli and finely chop. If you want a sharper marinade, leave the seeds. Chili peppers come in two types: red is sharper, green is less spicy. If desired, chilli may not be added at all.
Wash the cilantro, shake off the moisture and chop finely. If desired, you can replace or supplement with other herbs, for example, dill, parsley, cilantro, green onions or use a mixture of different herbs.
In a blender bowl, combine the sweet peppers and chilli, peeled garlic cloves. Whisk until evenly mashed.
Important! If you want the marinade to be a uniform green or red color, then take sweet peppers and chili peppers of the same color. Transfer the vegetable puree to a bowl. Add the vegetable oil, vinegar, sugar and salt. Mix everything thoroughly. If you have 9% vinegar, pour 25ml of clean drinking water into it. You get 75ml of 6% vinegar. Of these, you need 50 ml.
Add the crushed cilantro and stir until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.
Put the tomatoes in a deep bowl in one layer. Spread out some of the garlic marinade on top. Top with another layer of tomatoes and pour the marinade over them again. So, layer all tomatoes and marinade.
Cover the bowl with a lid or tighten with cling film and refrigerate to marinate for 1-2 days.
Transfer the finished snack to a plate and serve. Enjoy your meal!
