Herring - 2 pcs., Potatoes - 2 pcs., Eggs - 2 pcs., Dill - 20 g, Mayonnaise - 2 tbsp., Ground black pepper - to taste, Salt - to taste, Pomegranate - 1 tbsp.
Prepare the ingredients. To make a snack in the form of emerald balls with herring, we need: herring fillet; boiled potatoes, hard-boiled eggs; mayonnaise, dill, ground black pepper and salt. Pomegranate grains for decoration.
Wet the herring fillet with paper towels to remove any remaining oil. If a whole herring is used, then separate the fillet from the bones.
Cut the fillet into small cubes.
Boil the potatoes in the skin until cooked. Then cool and clean. Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater.
Boil the eggs hard-boiled, cool and peel. Also grate on a coarse grater.
In a salad bowl, combine herring, grated potatoes and eggs. Salt, pepper and season with mayonnaise.
It's good to mix everything. Put the resulting mass in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Dill wash, dry and very finely chop.
Form walnut-sized balls from chilled herring and vegetable mass. If the mass falls apart, then it is better to form the balls with wet hands.
Roll the herring balls in crushed dill.
Place the balls on a dish, sprinkle with pomegranate grains and serve. Enjoy your meal!
