Viennese wafers on kefir
3 servings50 min
Kefir - 200 ml, Wheat flour - 150 g, Eggs - 1 pc., Sugar - 2 tbsp., Butter - 50 g, Baking soda - 1 g, Vanillin - 1 g
How to make Viennese waffles? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Put the butter in the microwave and heat to such a state that it begins to melt. Sift the flour through a sieve to saturate it with oxygen. The egg can be used in any category. Take kefir with an average fat content of 1-2%.
For the dough, choose a convenient high bowl so that splashes on the sides do not fly when mixing the dough. Combine the egg with the sugar in a bowl.
Then add the kefir and mix everything. To do this, you can use a mixer. I baked salt-free waffles, just sweet, but a wish to enhance the taste can be added a pinch of salt at this stage and mixed.
Then pour flour with soda and vanillin into the dough. First, gently mix everything with flour by hand, and then you can turn on the mixer. If you immediately turn on the mixer, then the flour will begin to scatter around the kitchen. Therefore, first it must be immersed in dough.
And with the last step, stir melted butter into the dough.
The finished dough will become homogeneous and thick. About like a fritter. Preheat the waffle iron or multipecar and spoon the prepared dough. Cover and cook as needed. I cook Vienna waffles in a multipecar and it takes me 12-14 minutes. Depending on the coating quality of the panels, it may be necessary to lubricate them with oil before first use. Navigate your waffle iron.
Ready-made waffles should become a mouth-watering golden color. This amount of dough is enough for 6 waffles, i. e. for 3 bakes of two waffles.
Such Viennese waffles will be a wonderful addition to tea or coffee. They can be supplemented with berry sauce, cream, jam or topping. Or you can just sprinkle with icing sugar. Have a nice tea party!
