Chocolate fondan is a popular French dessert that is usually served with a ball of vanilla ice cream. The main feature of this confectionery is that it's crunchy on the outside and has a stunningly tasty liquid core on the inside.
1. To begin with, whisk the eggs with the sugar until white foam forms. Then gently add the flour and mix the mixture using a spatula.
2. Melt the chocolate in a water bath. Add it to the egg-flour mixture and stir gently again. Add the soft butter here, too. The dough should eventually have a homogeneous consistency, without lumps.
3. Now you need to oil the baking molds and then powder them with flour.
4. Pour the dough into the baking tins and bake the dessert in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Time depends on your oven, but remember that fondan is the main thing - not to overexpose, otherwise no liquid middle will work. The first time you will have to experiment to decide on the exact temperature and baking time.
5. Let the fondan stand in its forms for just a few minutes, after which carefully remove the dessert for beautiful saucers. Serve the finished chocolate treat hot with a ball of ice cream or fresh fruit (berries). It looks very exquisite, decorated with a sprig of mint. Enjoy yourselves!
