How to make a cake with roses from mastic? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Mastic can be made yourself or purchased ready-made. You will also need shapes for cutting petals and leaves, toothpicks for fastening roses, a fork for lemon, scissors and a brush. Any cake can be decorated in this way. The cake must be covered with a thin layer of butter cream. It is better to hold it before decorating in the refrigerator so that the cream freezes completely.
Roll the mastic into a thin pancake big enough to cover the cake.
Carefully, so as not to damage the mastic, cover the cake with it. Cut the edges with scissors. The remains of the mastic will go to the formation of roses. They should be removed in the bag so that they do not dry in the air.
With your fingers on the sides of the cake, create a drape.
Thus, the tablecloth on the table will be imitated.
Divide the remains of the mastic into two parts. Roll one part into a small pancake and apply red helium dye to it with a toothpick.
Mastic the mastic. It should acquire a uniform color. Roll the mastic into a thin pancake.
Cut out the circles with a round shape of the desired size (a glass or a special shape) - these will be rose petals. A minimum of 7 circles are needed for one rose. Prepare a small container of water.
How to make roses for cake? Wrap the first petal in a tube.
Brush the tube with water a little and wrap it in a second petal. Lightly mash the edges of the petal to make it look more natural.
Again brush the resulting bud with water and wrap it in a third petal.
And so, petal by petal, make a rose.
Thus, make the number of rosettes necessary for decoration.
The roses will turn out to be oblong, and they will not look on the cake. Therefore, cut the ends of the buds with scissors.
Paint the second piece of mastic, resulting from the remains of the cut edges, green. Roll out the green mastic into a pancake and cut the leaves out of it.
With scissors, make notches on each leaf like real rose leaves.
With a lemon fork, depict the veins on the leaves.
Let the finished rosettes and mastic leaves dry a little.
Now you can start decorating the cake with roses. Brush the cake with water using a brush.
Put the rosettes and leaves on the cake beautifully.
To decorate the sides of the cake with rosettes, you will need toothpicks cut in half. Gently squeeze half of the toothpick into the rosette.
Attach the rosettes on the toothpicks on the side of the cake. It is convenient to do this with tweezers so as not to crush the roses.
While the mastic dries to stable stability, do not let the jewelry settle. Correct them periodically. Flowers and leaflets can be prepared in advance, in a day or even more. Then the decoration process will be easier. Have a nice tea party!
