How to make the Monastery hut cake with cherries according to the classic recipe? First of all, we will prepare the necessary products.
Let's start making the cake with the dough. If you have a food processor with knives, then it will take only a few minutes to prepare the dough, just load all the ingredients for the dough into the bowl and mix, but my food processor has recently refused to work, so kneaded by hand. To do this, sift 3 cups of flour into a bowl and rub the oil with flour to the state of small crumbs (we take the oil immediately from the refrigerator).
Lightly beat the egg with sugar, it may not be added, but then increase the amount of sour cream. Send sour cream and an egg with sugar to the oil crumb.
Kneading dough
If the dough turns out to be too tight, add a little sour cream, and if sticky - flour, focus on the dough itself, it should be soft not too tight, wrap the mixed dough in film and send it to the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
While the dough rests cherries without seeds (or frozen or canned), we rest on a sieve, if it is sour, then add a couple of tablespoons of sugar, focus on the taste and leave to stack excess juice.
We take our dough from the refrigerator, divide it into several pieces. We roll the piece into a layer, about 3 mm thick.
We adjust the formation to the size of future tubes.
We cut the layer into strips for tubes about 4-5 cm wide (sizes depend on the size of the berry).
On each strip, lay out a berry in one row and pinch the edges (if the dough breaks somewhere, nothing terrible).

We leave our tubes to cool and deal with sour cream.
For cream, I used fatty homemade sour cream, it can be replaced with fatty cream.
Add sugar, vanilla sugar to sour cream and beat slightly until the sugar dissolves.

To begin with, put a spoon of cream on the dish and smear it, this is so that the tubes do not escape from the dish.
Now we lay out 6 tubes and lubricate them on top with sour cream, then 5 tubes and again with cream, etc. , we collect the pyramid.
