Pork toast with gravy in the pan
4 servings45 min
Pork - 500 gr, Meat broth - 350 ml, Tomato paste - 100 gr, Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp, Sour cream - 2 tbsp, Bay leaf - 2 pcs., Pepper - to taste, Salt - to taste, Onion - 1 pc.
How to make toast with gravy? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Pork is needed without bones. It can be a whole tenderloin, a ham with a little fat. Or use meat already cut into the right pieces. For savoury, you can add 1/2 tsp ajiki to tomato paste. In addition to salt and pepper, you can use additional spice mixtures for pork. But be sure to read the composition on the packaging, otherwise you risk salting the dish.
Wash the pork, dry and cut into medium pieces. It can be cubes or bars.
Cut the onion arbitrarily. These can be small cubes or larger slices. I chopped the onions coarsely.
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over a high heat. Lay out the pork and fry, stirring until golden.
When the first ruddy areas appear on the pork, add the onion to the pan. Stir fry for a few more minutes until most of the meat is covered in a golden crust.
Reduce the heat to medium and add the tomato paste to the pan. Put it all together, stirring, for 3-5 minutes.
Pour in the hot meat stock.
Add the bay leaves and mix the contents of the pan thoroughly. Bring to a boil and simmer with a low simmer for about 20 more minutes. You can cover the pan with a lid so that the broth does not boil or splash too quickly. If you need more gravy, pour in another glass of stock.
At the end, add sour cream, salt and ground pepper. Stir everything and put out for another 2 minutes. Then remove the pan from the heat.
Spread the finished pork on plates, sprinkle over the crushed greens and serve with any side dish. Enjoy your meal!
