How to make Fur Coat salad under mayonnaise? Prepare the ingredients. To make Shuba under mayonnaise (or herring under a fur coat), we'll need: a fillet of lightly salted herring; potatoes; carrots; eggs; beets; black ground pepper (optional, I didn't add) and mayonnaise.
Cut the herring fillet into small cubes.
Boil the potatoes in a uniform. Then cool and clean. Grate the potatoes over a coarse grater.
Boil the carrots in a uniform. Then cool and clean. Grate the carrots over a coarse grater.
Boil beets in a uniform. I take the already boiled peeled beetroot. But there is no risk of running into a low-quality product. Then cool and clean. The beetroot is grated on a coarse grater.
Boil the eggs hard-boiled, cool and peel. Also rub the eggs on a coarse grater.
In a deep salad bowl or on a flat dish, lay out in layers, rinsing each layer, except herring, with mayonnaise: potatoes - herring - carrots - eggs - beets.
Brush the beetroot with mayonnaise on top. Tighten the salad bowl with cling film and refrigerate overnight for soaking.
Garnish the salad to taste before serving. I decorated with sprigs of dill, a grated egg and the remaining herring fillet. Enjoy your meal!
