How do you make a simple salad with chicken walnuts and cheese? Prepare the necessary ingredients. In addition to chicken fillet, you can use meat from chicken shins or thighs - the salad will only turn out to be juicier.
Pre-boil the chicken fillet until cooked in salted water. Chill the chicken and cut into small cubes. ! If you boil the chicken in advance, for example, from the evening, so that it does not curl and does not lose its juiciness, leave it in the broth.
Grate the cheese on a coarse or medium grater.
Finely chop walnuts with a knife or grind in a blender. Additionally, set aside a few whole halves to decorate the salad.
Peel and core the apple. Quickly rub the flesh on a coarse grater. The apple must be prepared most recently after all other ingredients. To prevent it from darkening so quickly, you can drizzle the grated flesh with lemon juice. Take the apple sweet and sour, juicy. Granny Smith and Simerinka varieties are suitable.
This salad can be formed in a clear salad bowl or on a dish in a culinary ring so that all layers are clearly visible. Put the chicken fillet in the first layer and flatten. I got a little more fillets than I needed, so to keep the salad from being dry because of the thick layer of chicken, I split the fillets into two layers. Top with mayonnaise. I transferred the mayonnaise into a pastry bag and cut off the tip to make it more convenient to apply the sauce to the layers.
Lay the grated apple on the fillet in an even layer and also pour mayonnaise over it.
Next, I distributed the remaining chicken fillet and also poured mayonnaise over it.
The next layer is grated cheese and mayonnaise.
The last layer is crushed walnuts. Lightly press the salad with your hands or a special round ramming attachment. Refrigerate the salad for 1-2 hours to soak. If left longer, tighten the mold with cling film.
Remove the culinary ring before serving, decorate the salad as desired. I decorated with halves of walnuts, cherry tomatoes and sprigs of rosemary. Enjoy your meal!
