How to make a meat salad classic? Boil the vegetables in advance until tender and cool. Peel the boiled potatoes and cut into small cubes. Put the chopped potatoes in a deep dish or salad bowl.
Peel the boiled and chilled carrots from the skin, cut off the tips and cut into small squares. Add to the salad bowl to the chopped potatoes.
Remove the salted cucumbers from the jar, cut off the tips. Finely dice and add to the previously chopped vegetables. Salted or pickled cucumbers can be used.
Peel boiled and chilled eggs from the shell with small squares. Add the eggs to the previously chopped ingredients.
Boiled chilled meat - it can be beef, pork, turkey (or, if desired, chicken) - finely cut and add to the salad.
Gently open the tin of canned peas, drain the liquid and add the necessary amount of peas to the salad.
Bulb or salad onions are added to the salad if desired. It should be peeled from the husks and very finely chopped. If the onion is very sharp, then it can be previously scalded with boiling water. Add the chopped onions to the salad.
In a separate dish, mix sour cream and mayonnaise in equal parts, mix. If desired, you can add ground pepper. Add salt to the salad to taste, season with a mixture of sour cream and mayonnaise and mix.
Serve the finished salad chilled as a dish on your own or as a cold snack for the main course.
