How to cook vegetables for salad? Wash the tubers well with a brush under running water, fold them into a saucepan. Fill with clean cold water, set to cook on medium heat. After boiling, cook the potatoes with the carrots for about 30 minutes. The exact time will depend on the size of the vegetables. Check your readiness with a knife - it will have to pierce the fetus easily. Chill and peel the boiled vegetables. Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater.
Start picking the salad. Traditionally, Mimosa is prepared in layers. You can serve it in a regular salad bowl or lay it out with a cooking ring like me. Put the grated potatoes in the first layer. Compress the layer. If you have sardine in your own juice, then brush the layer of potatoes with mayonnaise. I have sardine in oil, so I didn't smear potatoes.
