How do you make caesar salad classic with shrimp? First of all, prepare all the necessary ingredients on the list. It is better to take tiger or royal salad shrimps, but with ordinary ones it will turn out no less tasty. Which lettuce sheets are best used? Romano is used in the classic recipe, you can take Latuk, Endvius, Iceberg or Beijing cabbage. Rinse tomatoes, lemon and leaves in clean water, dry with napkins.
Remove the shrimp from the freezer and defrost at room temperature. For faster defrosting, you can pour cool water over the shrimp. Remove the shells and heads from the shellfish, the tails can be left, or also removed - at your discretion.
Next, there are two methods for heat treatment of shrimp. They can be boiled in boiling water until tender or marinated and fried in a pan. I cook the second way more often, so the taste of the salad, it seems to me, turns out to be more saturated. So, in a deep small cup, send the prawns, add 1 tbsp. lemon juice, 2 tbsp vegetable or olive oil and a pinch of salt. If you have Worcester sauce, add it too. Leave for 10 min.
Fry the shrimp in a hot pan for a couple of minutes on one side.
And the same amount with the other.
Cut the crusts from white bread (you can use loaf). Cut the bread into small 1-2cm cubes. Fry on a small amount of olive or vegetable oil. If desired, you can add a little garlic, so the crackers will turn out to be aromatic.
Place the breadcrumbs on a baking sheet and send to the preheated oven for 5-10 minutes to dry.
Pour cold water over the eggs and place on the stove. After boiling, slightly reduce the flame and cook the eggs for one minute. They have to be soft-boiled. We'll only need yolks to make the dressing.
Prepare the sauce. To do this, place two yolks, mustard, 2 tbsp in the bowl of the blender. lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, 4 tbsp olive or vegetable oil, garlic, salt, sugar and ground black pepper.
Whisk everything until smooth.
It remains to collect the salad. Narvite sheets with your hands arbitrarily, send to a flat plate with the first layer.
Next comes a line of crackers and cherry tomatoes. Tomatoes can be cut in half or in quarters.
Lay out with the next layer of shrimp.
Pour the sauce evenly over the salad.
And add the cheese, grated on a fine grater.
Sprinkle with crackers on top if desired and garnish with herbs. Caesar is ready, serve right away!
