I thoroughly wash carrots, potatoes, beets under running water, dry with paper towels. Vegetables must be clean and dry. We pack the prepared vegetables in foil and send them to the oven to bake. The oven should be warmed to 190 degrees, the ingredients will be baked at this temperature for about 40-50 minutes. Time depends on the type of oven, it may need a little more or less. The main thing is that vegetables should become soft. Well, beets, carrots and potatoes are ready. Let them cool, then peel and cut into neat cubes. By the way, a device for cutting salads would be very useful here, with it each cube is ideal, and also significantly saves time. Boil eggs hard-boiled, cool. We clean the shells, separate proteins and yolks. We rub the yolks on a fine grater, the proteins do not go to the salad, you can safely eat them. Peel the onions, cut into cubes, put them in a piano. Pour the onion with cool boiling water, leave for a couple of minutes, after which we rest on a sieve. Let all the fluid drain. In herring, cut the abdomen, clean all the insides. Then we cut off the head and tail, remove the skin. We remove the ridge from the carcass and select all the bones. It is most convenient to cope with small bones with the help of tweezers. Of course, you can buy finished fillet, then the cleaning process can be bypassed. Cut the herring into small cubes. We form layers of lettuce, it is very convenient to do this in a culinary ring. So, a layer of potatoes, carrots, herring, onions, potatoes again, beets. We rinse each layer with mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste (you don't need to salt and pepper the herring layer, of course). Sprinkle the surface with crushed egg yolk. We send the salad to the refrigerator for impregnation for about 2 hours. Serve on the table, decorate to taste. You can decorate with a sprig of parsley. You can serve in portions if the salad was formed in rings of small diameter. Similarly, lettuce can be formed in a large ring. Enjoy your meal!
