How to make a Greek shrimp salad? Very simple. First, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Tomatoes can be used by anyone. The vegetable part can be supplemented or replaced to your liking. In addition to shrimp, you can use other seafood to your taste.
Boil the shrimp in boiling salted water 3 minutes until cooked. Chill and peel the ready-made shrimp. Put the shrimp in a bowl and pour over the lemon juice.
Wash the tomatoes, dry and cut into wedges. If you want the salad to be less watery, you can remove the core with the seeds. If you have cherry tomatoes - cut them into halves. Tomatoes need juicy but dense. Soft fruits do not hold their shape well, in the process of cutting and cooking they will spread into a shapeless mass and spoil the appearance of the dish.
Wash the cucumbers, dry and cut into semicircles. The skin, if it is not rough, not damaged and not bitter, does not need to be cut.
Peel the bell peppers from the seeds and stalks and cut into thin circles. Instead of one bell pepper, I took two small multi-colored ones.
Peel a small red onion and cut into thin rings or half rings. I have a half from a large bulb.
Cut the feta into small cubes. You can replace feta with sirtaki, fetaxa or other soft cheese, for example, brynzu, mozzarella, Adyghe, curd or melted cream. True, in this case, the salad will already be based on Greek.
Remove the olives from the brine and dry.
Wash the lettuce leaves, dry and tear with your hands. Lettuce leaves can be replaced with a ready-made mixture of salad leaves or make such a mixture yourself
In a bowl, combine the shrimp along with the lemon juice, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, olives. Pour over the olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper and stir to combine.
Put the salad on a plate. Supplement with feta, salad leaves and serve to the table. Enjoy your meal!
