How to bake turkey roll in the oven? Prepare the products. For this recipe, fillet of any part of the bird is suitable, I have steaks from fillet breast. Mushrooms also choose any - champignons, forest, I have oyster mushrooms.
Peel and cut the onions into half rings. To prevent the mucous eye from irritating when cutting onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board will not absorb the unpleasant onion smell if you grate it with a piece of lemon before cutting.
Clean the mushrooms from dirt with a wet sponge. Do not wet them much so that the mushrooms do not absorb a lot of moisture, they can become watery and not tasty. Cut the mushrooms into thin plates.
Heat the pan, pour vegetable oil over it. Place the onion and fry it over a low heat for about 5 minutes. Onions should become transparent. Stir it periodically.
Place the mushrooms in the pan. Don't be alarmed that there are too many of them. During heat treatment, mushrooms lose a lot in volume.
Fry the mushrooms for 5 minutes, stirring. Then add salt and pepper to them. Stir again and fry for a further 5 minutes.
Wash the fillet and dry well with a paper towel. Cut each piece, making a cut not to the end, and expand into a layer. Beat the meat off with a hammer. You can cover the piece with cling film so that splashes do not fly. Salt the fillet on both sides.
Brush the piece with sour cream on one side.
Top with the onion-fried mushrooms.
Carefully roll the fillet into a roll, trying to prevent the filling from falling out.
Wrap the roll in a piece of foil, making deep vortices on the sides so that the juice does not spill out when baked. I took a large foil to make a few revolutions, so more reliable. Similarly, I made other pieces of fillet. The resulting rolls were put in a refractory mold. If you have a roll of one large piece, then put it on a baking sheet.
Bake the rolls in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about one hour. We let the ready-made rolls cool a little. Cutting them is more convenient not hot, they can fall apart. Enjoy your meal!
