Marinade: pour a glass of water with vinegar into a saucepan, add cloves, juniper berries, pepper, bay leaf. Bring to a boil and cook over a low heat for 5 minutes. Then cool. Grease herring fillet from the inside with mustard. Cut the cucumbers into straws and lay out from the edge of each fillet piece of herring. Roll up the herring fillet with a roll and cobble together with a toothpick. Cut the onions into rings. Put the rolmops closely in a bowl along with the onion rings. Fill with marinade, cover with film and place in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
