Prepare the necessary ingredients to make the tincture. Cherries can be used both fresh and frozen. The main thing is that the berries are the most ripe. The darker they are, the better. Fresh cherries must be washed and bones and sprigs removed. If you take frozen cherries, then they must be previously thawed at room temperature. At the same time, juice does not need to be drained.

Put the prepared berries in a clean jar.
Fill the berries with sugar and spritz a little or just stir to spread the sugar more evenly between the berries. Leave the berries with sugar to stand in a warm place for 3-4 hours.
During this time, even in thawed berries, a sufficient amount of juice will be released. Mix all the berries well with the juice. It is not necessary to cook berries for more juice. Cherry is quite juicy berry, so the juice from it will be enough to dissolve sugar.
Pour the moonshine into the jar and cover with a lid. Put the jar in a dark, cool place for 3-4 weeks. Remember to shake the tincture several times a week. Why shake the jar? This is necessary in order for the finished product to be brighter and richer in taste.
After the specified time, strain the drink, bottle it and cover with lids. Let it stand in the fridge for another month. By the way, cherries can not be thrown away. They can be used to make Drunk Cherry cake. Such tarred berries can be stored in the refrigerator for several months.
Do not rush to taste the drink. During aging, its taste will only get better. Cherry tincture can be healthy. It has a calming effect on the nervous system, helps with colds and improves metabolism. But only if it is not abused!
