How to make a Long Island cocktail? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Long Island is cooked and served in a tall glass called & quot; highball & quot;; (highball glass). The glass is filled with ice cubes to the top, but I pour only half a glass to my taste. I prefer to drink long drinks slowly, and in my glass any amount of ice has time to melt completely, inevitably distorting the taste of the drink. So adjust the amount of ice according to your preferences.
Pour vodka into the glass. Bartenders use special measuring cups - jiggers. At home, I recommend using kitchen scales and a regular stack.
Add the sugar syrup.
Next, pour in the dry gin.
Add the rum. The classic version uses white rum, but you can also take dark rum.
Then pour tequila and orange liqueur into a glass.
Squeeze the juice of lemon or lime directly into the glass, choose according to your taste preferences. I did both options. Squeeze the juice through the strainer so that no bones get into the glass. Toss the cocktail together with a teaspoon.
Top up with a cola of classic flavour.
Garnish the glass with lemon wedges. I cut Lyme into segments and added it straight into the cocktail I was making with lime juice. Serving a Long Island Island Tee cocktail with two tubes. Nice tasting!
