How to bake fish with tomatoes and cheese in the oven? It's very simple. First, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. For the recipe, fillet of any white or red fish is suitable. Fish can be taken fresh or frozen. Frozen fish must be pre-thawed by transferring it from the freezer to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator.
Rinse the fish fillet, dry. I use ready-made pollock fillet. Instead of fillet, you can use a whole fish, which you need to peel and cut into portions.
Peel and cut the onions into rings.
Cut the tomatoes into wedges or circles. If you have cherry tomatoes, cut them in half. Choose tomatoes that are juicy but dense. Soft fruits do not hold their shape well, in the process of cutting and cooking they will spread into a shapeless mass and spoil the appearance of the dish. To make the dish bright and beautiful, I use vegetables of different colors.
Peel the sweet pepper from the seeds and cut into rings. The vegetable part can be replaced or supplemented to your liking.
Grate the cheese over a coarse grater. I like to grate cheese for Korean carrots - when baked, it makes a beautiful openwork web. I have ordinary Russian cheese, but any one to your taste will suit.
In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, onions, fish spices, salt and pepper.
Put the fish in mayonnaise and put in the fridge to marinate for 20 minutes.
Place the marinade fish in a vegetable oil-lubricated baking dish. Place most of the onions on the bottom of the tin, and distribute the fish on top. When baked, the fillet will not burn or dry out.
Next, distribute the bell peppers, tomatoes and grated cheese. Bake in the oven preheated to 200 ° C for 25-30 minutes or longer until the fish are cooked.
