How to make a shortbread pie with red fish? Prepare the necessary ingredients for the dough. Remove the butter in advance so that it becomes soft.
Mix the flour with baking powder, sift into a suitable bowl. Sieving will saturate the flour with oxygen, and the dough will be more tender and crumbly.
Put the soft butter in the sifted flour. Quickly grind everything into crumbs.
Whisk the egg with salt and cold water until smooth.
Combine the beaten egg with the butter and flour mixture. Stir first with a spoon, then quickly knead the dough with your hands.
The dough is soft, pliable, not sticky to the hands.
Cover the bottom of the 18-20 cm diameter baking dish with parchment. Spread the dough over the bottom and sides of the tin, forming 3-4 cm high sides. Remove the dough tin into the refrigerator.
Make the filling. I took semen cleaned from the skin and bones beforehand. Fillet of any red fish is suitable. You can also use any type of cheese or limit yourself to one.
Cut the fish fillet into small cubes. Salt, add basil and Italian herbs, stir. Use any spices you wish that are suitable for fish. When adding salt, consider the taste of the cheese.
Grate the cheese over a coarse grater.
Whisk the egg with the cream until smooth.
Put the grated cheese into the resulting mixture, mix.
Combine the cream pour with the prepared fish, mix well.
Remove the dough tin from the fridge. Fill the dough with filling.
Bake the cake in the oven preheated to 180S for about 30 minutes. If the edges of the pie are browned and the consistency of the filling has become dense, then the pie is ready. Baking times and patterns may vary. Focus on how your oven works.
Cool the finished pie a little, cut into portions and serve. Enjoy your meal!
