Thin pita bread - 200 g, Minced meat - 600 g, Onions - 2 pcs., Hard cheese - 300 g, Sour cream - 200 g, Chicken eggs - 4 pcs., Tomatoes - 2 pcs., Dill - 10 g, Mayonnaise - 6 tbsp., Salt - to taste, Ground black pepper - to taste, Vegetable oil - 50 ml
How do you make a pita meat pie with mince and cheese in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Choose fresh pita. It should have a pleasant smell. Look carefully so that it does not have spots and signs of mold. Tomatoes can be replaced with ketchup, tomatoes in their own juice or tomato paste. Choose proportions to taste. I took tomatoes and dill frozen - it turned out tasty. Take cheese that melts well.
Peel, rinse and cut the onions into small cubes. So it will cook quickly and the filling will be more uniform. Transfer the onions to a medium-heat preheated frying pan with a little vegetable oil. Fry over a high heat until golden.
Then add the minced meat to the onion and continue to fry, stirring constantly so that the minced meat pieces do not stick together.
Fry until the minced meat changes its pink color to gray - you don't need to cook a lot so that the filling is juicy. Pepper and salt to taste, remove from the heat and studio until warm.
While the filling cools, prepare the pita bread. Unwrap the pita bread and brush it evenly with a thin layer of mayonnaise.
Wash the tomatoes, remove the stalk and cut into rings. Evenly spread the stuffing with onions and tomatoes over the surface of the pita bread.
Grate the cheese on a coarse or medium grater. Leave half the cheese to pour (step 11). Remove the flaccid leaves from the dill, rinse and finely chop. Then spread the cheese and dill evenly across the pita.
Twist pita along the long side with a roll. Do the same (steps 5. 6 and 7) with the second pita.
Next, try on how it will be more convenient for you to put pita bread in a baking tin. I used a rectangular shape of about 20x30cm with a 5cm bead height. In height, I had a pita roll twisted along. And I cut each of the two rolls in half. Place the rolls in a vegetable oil-lubricated form.
Wash the eggs and rub with a dry towel. Whisk them until light foam appears.
Add the cheese and sour cream, mix well.
Pour pita bread rolls with the obtained filling, distribute evenly.
Bake in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 15 minutes on top-to-bottom until ruddy. Choose the exact time and temperature by your oven. If you want to decorate the pie like me, take it out of the oven 5 minutes before you're ready and top with vegetables like tomatoes. Then return to the oven for a few more minutes.
