Ginger horseradish

Ginger horseradish... 40 servings
5 days

Horseradish is an alcoholic house tincture. It is made on the basis of vodka or homemade moonshine with the addition of horseradish and honey. It is used as a prevention against colds or simply as an alcoholic drink with a soft taste and healing properties. Adding ginger to the tincture makes it even more useful. Since ginger has a number of useful properties - it serves as the main remedy for colds and viruses, normalizes metabolism, and improves digestion. Making horseradish with ginger is very easy. You will need a glass container with a volume of

2. 5-3 liters. For these purposes, you can take a regular 3-liter can. Pour
1. 5 liters of vodka there. Pour the rest of the vodka into a separate dish and mix with honey. Honey does not dissolve very well in vodka, so some effort will have to be made to get a uniform mass. Pour the resulting liquid with dissolved honey into a prepared container for horseradish, that is, add it to vodka. Take the horseradish root, wash it, peel and cut finely into 3cm cubes. Horseradish is best chopped rather than grated - otherwise the finished drink will be cloudy. For the same reason, finely chop fresh ginger into slices (do not rub! ). Pour horseradish and ginger into a container of vodka. Pour the lemon juice there and add the black currant leaves. This will make the horseradish feel softer and fragrant. If the horseradish is made on the basis of moonshine, then a little more currant leaves can be added to interrupt the not very pleasant smell of yeast. Close the jar tightly with a lid and mix everything thoroughly, shaking the container. Put the drink to infuse in a dark cool place for 5 days. In this case, it is necessary to periodically shake the contents for better taste and aroma. After the horseradish has insisted, it must be strained through several layers of gauze. Honey usually settles with flakes, horseradish can also give some cloudiness. For better filtration of the finished drink, you can use a clean paper towel. So, the finished drink will be even cleaner and more transparent. It is best to store horseradish with ginger in the refrigerator. Enjoy your meal!
