How to bake minced meat in a pumpkin in the oven? Prepare the products. For mince, I took the flesh of pork, but in general you can use any other meat - beef, chicken, turkey. Pumpkin is better suited to a small size.
Make the mince by scrolling the meat through a meat grinder. You can take the ready-made mince, but the homemade one turns out much tastier. Salt and pepper the minced meat, you can add Adyghe salt or any spices for meat.
Rinse the rice, fill with hot water and cook on the stove until ready. Rice can be replaced, if desired, with any other cereal or not added at all. Tip the rice onto a sieve and let the liquid drain.
Wash the pumpkin and cut the lid. Spoon out the flesh with the seeds. At the same time, remove a little more solid part of the pulp from the walls of the pumpkin.
Peel and finely chop the bulb onions. Fry it until clear in vegetable oil.
Finely chop the cut pumpkin flesh and send it to the onion in a pan. Fry everything until half cooked over a low heat.
Combine the minced meat, boiled rice and onion roasting with the pumpkin together. Stir the filling until smooth.
Stuff the pumpkin with the prepared minced meat filling and cover on top with a cut lid.
Wrap the pumpkin in two layers of foil (shiny side inside). Put the foil-wrapped pumpkin in a baking dish or in a frying pan and send to the oven.
Bake the pumpkin in the oven for two hours at 200 degrees. Then remove it, leave to cool a little and remove the foil. Serve the pumpkin to the table as a whole. It looks very spectacular and non-binary. Then cut off each guest's portion. The pumpkin cuts well (in wedges), while the minced meat keeps its shape and does not crumble. Pumpkin is very soft and serves as an excellent side dish to baked minced meat. Enjoy your meal!
