Mackerel - 800 gr, Bell pepper - 1 pc., Carrots - 1 pc., Onions - 1 pc., Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp., Tomato sauce - 2 tbsp., Tomato paste - 1 tbsp., Dry spices - 1 tsp., Ground black pepper - to taste, Salt - to taste
How to put out mackerel in a pan? It's very simple. First, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Mackerel can be used fresh or frozen. If you use frozen, it must be properly thawed on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator before cooking.
Wash the mackerel, gut and cut into pieces about 3-4 cm thick. It is more convenient to evade slightly frozen fish. Therefore, before cleaning mackerel, put it in the freezer for 30 minutes. If you are using frozen unpowered fish, then wait for it to melt a little, clean it and return to the refrigerator to thaw further.
Peel the bell peppers from the seeds and stalks and cut into strips.
Peel and cut the onions into half rings.
Peel and slice the carrots into thin circles. My carrots are small and thin, so I took two.
In a frying pan over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil. Lay out the onions and fry for 3-5 minutes until transparent.
Add the carrots and fry, stirring for a further 3-5 minutes.
Place the bell peppers in the pan. Simmer for about 5 more minutes.
Add tomato puree, tomato paste and sour cream to the vegetables. You can replace tomato puree with ketchup. Sprinkle everything with fish seasonings, salt and pepper. Simmer, stirring, for 5-7 minutes.
Put the chopped mackerel in a pan on the vegetable mixture. Simmer under the lid for 20-25 minutes. After 10-12 minutes from the start of the simmer, turn the fish to the other side.
Transfer the finished fish to a plate, sprinkle over the crushed greens and serve with any side dish. Enjoy your meal!
