How to bake chicken in sour cream sauce in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Any parts of the chicken can be used. I'll be cooking chicken thighs. Onions can be either red (like mine) or ordinary bulb. Any mushrooms are suitable - it will still be delicious in its own way. You can take champignons or wild mushrooms. I use wild mushrooms that are pre-boiled in boiling water for 25 minutes. Take 15-20% fat content of sour cream.
For baking, take any heat-resistant shape. It can be metal, ceramic or glass. Brush the bottom and walls of the form with a little vegetable oil and lay out the chicken thighs. Spread the prepared mushrooms and onions, previously peeled and cut into half rings, on top. If you use champignons, then they must be washed, cleaned and cut into 2-3 parts.

For the sour cream sauce, mix the prepared sour cream with salt and spices. A large selection of spices fits the chicken. Therefore, focus on your taste. I use some curry, dried basil, ground black pepper and some red pepper.
Rinse the chicken thighs in running water and dry well with a paper towel to remove excess moisture from them. Then coat the chicken with the resulting sour cream marinade.
Brush everything on top with the remaining sour cream sauce. Cover the tin with a sheet of foil and place in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Navigate your oven. About 15 minutes before the baking is over, remove the foil sheet and leave the chicken to brown the top a little.
Remove the finished dish from the oven. You can go to the table immediately in the form in which the chicken was baked or laid out in prepared plates.
