How to bake chicken with champignons and cheese in the oven? Prepare the products. To prepare this dish, you can take any parts of the chicken, I took chicken thighs. With the breast, the dish will become less caloric. Better if it's chilled rather than frozen chicken. Champignons can be replaced with other mushrooms. Any cheese is suitable: both hard varieties and softer ones, for example, mozzarella. The main thing is that it is of good quality, without milk fat substitutes.
Grate the cheese over a coarse grater and sprinkle the dish over the top. Bake the chicken in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 45 minutes. The top of the dish can be covered with foil so that the cheese does not burn, but make sure that the foil does not fit strongly with the cheese: during the cooking process, it melts and the foil can stick to it. At the end, remove the foil so that the dish is covered with a golden crust.

Peel and dice the onions.
Clean the mushrooms from dirt by gently washing under water. Do not wet them strongly, the mushrooms will absorb moisture and become watery. It is better to carefully clean the impurities with a sponge. Cut the champignons into small pieces.
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Add the chopped onions. Fry it until golden 5-7 minutes.
Add mushrooms to the onion, salt a little so that they give away excess moisture.
Fry the mushrooms with the onions until the liquid has evaporated. You can add your favorite seasonings for fragrance. I added a sprig of thyme.
Wash the chicken well and cut into pieces. You can remove the skin - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.
Put the chicken in a heat-resistant baking dish, salt a little. At this point, you can add your favorite condiments to the dish.
Add the crushed garlic. I just chopped the garlic wedges with a knife. But you can grate it on a fine grater or pass it through the press.
Put a roast of mushrooms and onions on the chicken.
