How to bake potatoes with bacon in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Potatoes for this dish need young, not very large, but also not small, even, with a small number of eyes and about the same size. Red Scarlet variety with red skin and yellow flesh is well suited for baking. It bake quickly enough and does not fall apart. It is better to buy smoked bacon or raw meat in a cut. It will take about 6 thin strips.
Place the tin in an oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake for about 40 minutes. Check readiness with a wooden skewer. If the potatoes are not ready, the bacon is well browned, cover the form with foil. You can serve potatoes with fresh vegetables. Or make the sauce: 3 tbsp sour cream combine with 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp lemon juice and 1 tsp grainy mustard. Stir or whisk in a blender for a smoother consistency.
