How to put out a pumpkin with onions and herbs? Prepare the indicated ingredients. Peel and seed the pumpkin, rinse and cut into large cubes about 2 by 2 cm, you can do more, especially if the vegetable is a soft density sugar variety.
Peel the bulb onions, rinse with cold water to keep them from pinching their eyes when slicing, and cut in half. Cut each of the halves into half rings. If desired, such a vegetable can be cut into cubes.
Pour vegetable oil into a saute pan, cauldron or frying pan with high sides. Place the container on a stove and heat the oil over a medium heat. Place the chopped onions and fry for about 3-5 minutes until lightly rosy.
Send pumpkin cubes to the onion.
Pour salt, dried thyme, ground black pepper, you can add other seasonings or spices to taste: rosemary, oregano, etc.
Peel the garlic clove from the husks, finely chop and send to the rest of the vegetables. If the clove is large or you use several cloves to enhance the garlic aroma, then pass them through the press. Fresh garlic can be replaced with garlic powder to taste. Gently mix everything and fry for about 3-5 minutes. During the roasting process, do not mix vegetables often so that the pumpkin does not soften and the dish does not turn into mashed potatoes.
Pour in hot water, cover the container with a lid and reduce the heat to minimal. Simmer the pumpkin for about 5-6 minutes. This time is quite enough to cook it, and if you cut the pumpkin into larger cubes, then add another 2-3 minutes.
Place the finished dish on plates, garnish with crushed, washed greens and serve. Enjoy your meal!
