Herring caviar with carrots and melted cheese

Herring caviar with carrots and melted cheese... 6 servings
30 min

We will prepare the ingredients: salted herring, carrots, melted cheese, butter. I boil my carrots in my uniform until half-ready, it should not fall apart and turn into mashed potatoes. This is important because it is the carrot that gives the snack a grainy feel, which in turn makes it look like real caviar. We clean herring, remove the skin that gutted it, if it is not gutted, remove the bones. If there is caviar in the herring, then it can be added to the ingredients. We pass the herring flesh through a meat grinder, it is better to do this a couple of times. But the blender is unlikely to work in this case, the snack should be coarse in consistency, while the blender will turn the mass into a uniform mash, which we do not need. On the trail of herring, we send butter and processed cheese to the meat grinder. Processed cheese can be used as usual weight or take processed raw materials, only the product should be with a neutral taste, without various kinds of additives, so as not to drown out the taste of the main ingredients, raw material such as "orbit" is suitable. It is better to cool butter and processed cheese in the freezer first so that when twisted on a meat grinder, they do not smear on its walls, but go out into a bowl with herring completely. The latter send carrots to the meat grinder so that it cleans the body of the meat grinder from the remains of processed cheese and butter. Thoroughly mix the ingredients passed through the meat grinder in a bowl, salt can be added to taste. But in principle, it seems that there is no such need, salted herring and cheese contain enough salt. Put a container with a spread in the refrigerator, covered with a lid or cling film on top, for half an hour to cool. The snack is ready. We serve it to the table as a stand-alone dish or spread on sandwiches. Fresh greens will perfectly complement herring caviar sandwiches, any bread will work: black, white or loaf. Enjoy your meal!
